Day 18...

Took a couple of days to explore nearby Southern Silk Road towns of Yengisar, Yarkand and Kargilik (Yecheng).
Nothing much of interests in these small towns now, as much has given way to development...

Cheap and nice meal! they also have a special fruits cocktail drink which is simply awesome!

  1. The photo's seem to dispell the mystic imaginations one might have of Kasghar and alike.

    I've yearned for years to travel in these parts but never get organised..........better head off soon otherwise, like the rest of old China........it will be gone in a matter of years.

    Very intersting site....when I have time a must revisit.
